I am a health and medical storyteller with experience in journalism and public relations. I’ve had the honor of interviewing medical thought leaders, researchers, celebrities and patients, and I’ve learned an immeasurable amount each one of them.
An amazing anatomy class in high school, where I’d spend hours in the local medical center’s library elbow-deep in journal articles, began this journey. I entered undegrad thinking I’d be come a neuroscientist, and stayed on that path until I spent my senior year in an animal research psychopharmacology lab, and decided I loved the writing part more than doing the actual experiments.
I got my foot in the door through medical editing, with a dream of being a journalist for mass audiences. I was given this opportunity by CBS News, before parlaying it into public relations, where I could be the beat reporter for my own hospital and identify stories and push them out to media.
Whether it’s writing and editingĀ breaking news, tackling health trends, interviewing physician-scientists, producing a video feature or writing a press release, I’ve enjoyed every minute.
After nearly 13 years working in New York and a lifetime in the area, I recently transitioned to the Boston suburbs where I live with my wife, daughter and dog, Poppy.
